Worship

We are a Reform congregation and a member of the Union for Reform Judaism, the largest Movement of Jews in North America. We welcome Jews of all backgrounds and their families into our family whether Jews by birth, a Jews by choice, inter-faith family looking for your spiritual home.

At our weekly Friday evening services, we join together as a community to celebrate Shabbat. People of all ages enjoy the opportunity to come together for an evening of reflection and worship. These services give everyone a place to greet and be greeted by friends and to make new ones. Together we share joyous occasions and we offer support to one another at challenging times.

Our worship begins at 7:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month. Though families are welcome at all of our services, these monthly Family Services are often geared especially for families with children. During the school year, Religious School students and members of our youth groups participate in these services sometimes. We also invite members and guests of all ages to come up to the bema during the service for a special Birthday Blessing.

Friday evening worship begins at 8:00 p.m. on all other Friday evenings. Sermon topics range from current events to timely and relevant discussions of the Torah portion, giving new insight into our Jewish tradition and contemporary issues. Monthly Anniversary Blessings are offered on the last Friday of each month.

Shabbat morning minyan, which includes Torah study, is held every Saturday morning throughout the entire year at 9:15 a.m.Young people become Bar and Bat Mitzvah at Shabbat worship held in the sanctuary; these services begin at 10:00 a.m.

We celebrate all of the festivals during the Jewish year. We hope that you will join with us in worship and in your rejoicing of life.

All service times and locations are listed in the Temple Beth David HaKol Bulletin, available in the main lobby and the administration offices or, for a schedule of Shabbat services, click the link to our our calendar on the menu bar the page.
